Good ND for AF by SeattleTom 14 y
Hi Paulette - My Dr. is very good at helping people recover from AF. Her name is Rose Mary Camren, and she recovered from a very serious case of AF before she became a Dr. of Natural Medicine. She helped me recover from my very serious case of AF years ago. Her website is www.thenaturaldr.com, and her e-mail address is rmc@thenaturaldr.com. She is based in Seattle, and does phone and e-mail consultations. She also mails out adrenal and other supplements twice a week. Tom 6,972 hits

I used to do a lot of cleanses, detoxes and LFs and I must say the last five months I started thinking they are probably rough on peeps with AF. I started searching in the LF forum and found about 4 people saying the the Liver Flush caused an adreanal crash. I tried to go after my candida thinking it would take stress off of my adrenals but it didn’t work. I tried so many things and I would kill it off but it would come right back in a couple of days. I finally started doing home made kefir and kombucha and it helped and then my candida progressivly got better along with my AF getting bett ... 2,539 hits

Sounds good Natway. Gupta is still treating me well... Gradually improving daily. Sounds good about the herbal formula. The only thing that I might suggest, depending on your degree of AF, is to try each herb individually and make sure that they agree with you. I wonder if your chiro can give you samples of them seperately. I’m definitely pro- ashwaghanda for all stages of AF, but I’m not sure about the other adaptogens. But, if you are in earlier stage AF, they might be fine. Let us know how it goes! 2,051 hits

You might want to read the FAQ section of the AF forum if you haven’t already. Have you read ”Adrenal Fatigue” by James Wilson? You also might want to check out articles on AF and related topics on www.drlwilson.com, www.drlam.com and www.arltma.com. Get a saliva test to find out whether or not you have AF. It is more accurate than the blood test. Post the results on this forum, and others can help you interpret the results. Tom 2,050 hits

Yep, looks like you got AF and thyroid issues (they usually go hand-n-hand). Did you have a lot of stress, anxiety, emotional traumas leading up and right before your AF? If so, the cause of your AF and other problems is what’s called Amygdala Hijack. Go to youtube and check out Gupta retraining and The Linden Method. (both Brits!)Diet wise, I’m a proponent of the Palieo ”caveman” diet and gluten-free. Whats the difference between CFS and AF? by Sjm400

I have had my cortisol checked and it confirms that I have AF but how do i know if I have CFS as a lot of the symptoms are the same. My illness originally started with a EBV like illness then I didnt recover properly. I was tested for glandular fever (i think that is what they call EBV in UK) at the time but it came back negative. I have noticed that more people post on the AF than the ME/CFS forums so I guess the posters on here with symptoms and lives similar to mine consider themselves to have AF and not CFS? I have AF. I have exactly the same symptoms. AF affects the whole systems including neurotransmitters. I am much better now but still have not gotten my emotions back. I also do not have adrenaline rush when angry, for example. I just do not get angry anymore. You need to do 4 point cortisol salivary test. It’s less expensive than neurotransmitters. If you have AF, this explains all the symptoms.Klauss. 2,400 hits

I am always on the hunt for real life success stories, and this book is absolutely inspirational. A majority of the people featured in the book who have chronic fatigue have AF symptoms as bad as I have. These people just never put the AF label on their illness. Yes, there are. Many AF patients I see have no signs or symptoms of jaw clicking or popping or TMJ. I’ve found it to be very commonly associated with nervous tension, anxiety and stress more so than with anything else, whether it be candida, AF, whatever. Not all folks with TMJ have AF, but a lot do. Stress and especially emotional tension commonly creates tension around the mouth, jaw and facial muscles, and is probably one of the most common cause (of all) when it comes to tension headaches. And tension headaches account easily for 80% of all headaches I’ve seen in the clinic. 2,151 hits

Hi, Aerose!I just recently made this connection too.I’ve been withdrawing from xanax for a year now and every time I reduce it it would trigger severe crashes.I believe AF and benzo withdrawal are parts of the same mechanism. They both involve the HPA axis and what happens is that benzo WD acts like stimulant on the adrenal glands causing crashes.Benzo drugs can very well be the only cause of someone’s AF in my opinion. There are many different kinds of stress to your body not just mental but physical and environmental as well. Undoing just mental hasn’t been my complete key to getting well because your body starts a viscous cycle of not detoxing when you have AF so it magnifies the toxic stress the longer you have AF. Yes! But mental stress and psychological issues can have mineral/chemical underpinnings which NB and diet can address. Things like copper toxicity, mercury toxicity, fast oxidation, high/low histamine, candida, etc. can all directly impact the brain and one’s fight/flight response. Psychology can create AF, or another issue can impact psychology which creates AF, which then can further deteriorate the body leading to more imbalances leading to further imbalances.Your right!
